I first started playing many many years ago back when the game was Project Entropia for a couple of years, and returned as Dibbler before VU10. In the past cool items were looted, won in events, (l) bp's dropped with clicks for unlimited versions, and for me at least that was my "dream" to loot something cool as i guess it is for most of us.
Now we have upgrades, mission galactica type collect and buy from MA, mega mission chains on cyrene that reward stuff. Also the unlimited versions of (l) crafted stuff (vehicles, whips etc) have migrated to become hunting loot or sold direct via tokens etc. Crafting has had the nanocubes, enhancer components from the tt (more direct sell), and it seems more and more this is the direction the game is headed, buy stims/ul rings etc...via strongboxes. Even minings "strange signal" was lost and again migrated to hunting/crafting (I really really miss strange signals).
Now I understand at the end of the day MA/PP's have to keep the lights on and need revenue, and change ofc comes to everything (adapt or quit). I've adapted ofc but i wonder sometimes if this is the right direction for the game to take, and more importantly the views of the community.
This is not a MA hate thread but more a "are people happy about it", "do people think things should have been done differently" etc etc.
My personal view is although stims etc are a great addition to the game, it would have been better to maybe have a new crafting profession introduced for them, to increase churn of materials etc and therefore turnover in economy. I feel crafters have been let down by the move to have ul versions of crafted stuff drop in hunt loot, hunters let down with the "buy from MA/PP" rather than have lootable. Although i do see the benefit of allowing players to "save" for an item via galactic missions etc over time, the increase in revenue for MA via strongboxes etc.
Please keep it clean, i am just interested in other peoples views on this new direction.
All the best
Dibbler :)
