After the v2012 log expired on editing, took a bit of a break posting. Now restarting with a revamp.
The goal of this thread is still to show what you can profit/loose by hunting in Entropia.
I am a lvl 158 laser pistoler, lvl 148 laser sniper, 175 laser dmg, lvl 95 evader, 338hp, lvl 97 average profstanding hunter for now. 750k total skills and 147/156 skills 2k+, 1 of them 20k+ and 20 of them 10k+ :)
Using:
Will post an update end of each month on actual run results (Google Docs) and also the total.
When relevant, will add my crafting (avg lvl 45) / mining (avg lvl 49) results as well.
I try to follow these simple rules

I understand that people will be jealous of Smilgs getting profits if they are losing.
So is real life, the successful ones face envy, unfortunately.
Keeping log running to remind that hunting profit is possible with the right gear, skills and effort.
To calm down haters, here are some numbers:
total amount spent on game since November 2010 minus withdraws: 130k eur
owned ingame stuff value approximation: 1M peds (around 87k eur)
hunting balance from November 2010 to December 2012: -130k peds
total tt return since November 2010: 98%
Considering the money and time spent, it has been an expensive hobby at this level and with my behavior so far, and shit-loads of time spent to maintain it.

- modmerc (close/mid range damage T10) + h204 + scope mk2 + sight mk2 - mostly no enhancers
- M71A2 (range damage T6) / M71A1 (range tagger T6) + i105 - range enhancers on tagger
- modfap T5 / mod hedoc T1 / M600 T3
- naked/knight/adj-nemesis/rascal/supremacy as armor, 5b/6a/8a sga plates - mostly no enhancers
- buffs - vitality coat, ares perfected ring, athenic perfected ring, ruby kanin

- no/little MU input, as much as possible MU output
- minimum defense costs
- no extra paid services like healer - with some exceptions
- stacking, avoid selling during price curve is @ lowest points for items that have a possible price peak
- participating in MA events where I think have a chance
- measuring my average return, if decent dpp and your tt return < 95% for a longer period of time - something is off, or MA changed rules
